We would like to let our customers know that we have decided not to have a stall at the Bakewell Farmers Market in 2023. We hope to attend other food markets and festivals during the year, details of which we will post on Facebook as and when.

We're really excited to be back at Bakewell Farmers' Market tomorrow. We'll have our delicious cakes on sale. The market is open from 8.30am. Looking forward to seeing you there!

From Monday 4 July the A619 between Baslow and Bakewell (13 bends) will be closed for 2 weeks at the junction of A6020 and B6048 for latest stage of work to improve road safety.

Diversion will be in place from Bakewell via B6001 to Calver crossroads. Access to Baslow will be along the A623. Access to Pilsley Village and local businesses will be maintained during the works, using the B6012 route leading onto the B6048.

The junction is being widened with a new right turn only lane to improve safety and updated road lining to alert road users. This is part of a £1.18m investment along the 13 bends route, funded by the national Safer Roads Fund programme.

Initial work already completed along the route include improvements to the A619 / B6012 junction and two new crossings for walkers using local rights of way.

The junction is scheduled to reopen late Sunday 17 July or earlier subject to progress, with temporary traffic lights to allow minor works and final safety checks to be carried out.

It was our first time today having a stall at Bakewell Farmers' Market. It's been something we've been hoping for since we set up the bakery over 3 years ago, and we were so pleased to have the opportunity to have a stall there today.
It was lovely seeing so many friends and customers again, and getting such wonderful feedback on our and cakes from new customers.
We'd also like to thank Bob and the team at the agricultural centre for showing us the ropes on our first day and for answering any queries we had, as well as our fellow stallholders for welcoming us so warmly.
We're looking forward to returning in July.

We're back this Saturday 28th May, 8.30am to 1.30pm with around 50 stalls. New for this month we have Brindley's Garden Products and The Tasty Cakery with gluten free and vegan cake. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 😊
