THAT'S A WRAP, FOLKS!

I am sad but also pleased to announce that Ginger Nut Vegan Bakery will be closing for the foreseeable future.

I'm back at my job full time now, and we've just bought a house which is a major dooer-upper so that's where my focus will be for the months (maybe even years!) to come.

It's been an incredible journey, and baking for you all has been the best way I could've spend my 12+ months of furlough, but for now I’m putting down the spatula and picking up a paintbrush as I look forward to this new chapter in my life.

I will still take orders here and there to deplete my ingredients so it's definitley worth asking if you'd like anything, but for now Ginger Nut Bakery (i.e. Katie) is over and out 🙂 

P.S... It's mine and my partners dream to own a cafe one day, so who knows, there could be a Ginger Nut Cafe in Chesterfield one day 😉

My lovely customer took this photo so you can see the delicious chocolate fudgey goodness in the cross section of my cake 😍
Chocolate fudge sponge coated with a biscoff infused buttercream, layered with pools of biscoff spread in the middle and on top, then finished off with biscoff biscuits for a bit of crunch 😘

The way I decorated this reminds me of the cake Dobby drops on Aunt Marge 😂 anyone know what I mean? 🎂
I used 3 fresh lemons in the process, cause nothing beats fresh lemons 😎

Pink Vanilla Celebration Cake with Strawberry Jam filling for 🍓😍
I don't usually do cakes like this but my customer wanted a pink cake with sprinkles for her daughter's 1st birthday, so I gave it my best shot and I'm really pleased with the results 😁
I got some vegan icing tips for this cake from who is an INCREDIBLE vegan baker in Bath, and it's changed my icing game 😎

The oat milk coffee was incredible, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and I've got a piece of Lemon Cake for later that I can't wait to try 🤤🍋
We had 4 coffee's, 4 lunches, and 2 pieces of cake, and it came to just £51.00!! For the taste, presentation, and experience you can't get much better than £12.75 per person!
