Not only was it fantastic to sell almost all my cupcakes but more importantly it was just wonderful to see so many of my friends again. Love you all 🥰

I am always so honoured to be asked to make a cake for a special occasion and this one was extra special 🥰
One of the residents at Belong had her 90th birthday yesterday and her lovely family requested a garden theme cake with plenty of her favourite flowers- daisies. They needed a large cake to share with other residents and staff as well as individually boxed cupcakes for a party for family and friends at Harkers.

10 inch 3 layer lemon sponge with lemon curd and lemon buttercream decorated with fondant flowers, foliage and birds.
20 individually boxed vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and daisy fondant decorations.

This cake echoed everything joyful about Amie and Vicky's beautiful wedding yesterday🫶🥂💍💍

It consists of a 10 inch 3 layer Victoria sponge cake with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam, an 8 inch 3 layer raspberry and white chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream and raspberry jam and a 6 inch 3 layer lemon cake with lemon buttercream and lemon curd. All decorated with rainbow drip, macarons, meringues, coloured popcorn, artificial flowers, multicoloured lollipops and gold accents.

In addition to the cake itself, Amie requested mini fruit loaves to satisfy those guests with more traditional wedding cakes tastes and I added a few lemon cupcakes too 😋

It's always an honour to be asked to make a cake for any occasion but there is no doubt that a Wedding cake is a huge responsibility. I was silently praying that it would hold out all day in the 28 degrees heat in an un air-conditioned room and when the cake cutting had taken place in the evening, I admit I breathed a massive sigh of relief 🫣😅

Huge congratulations to Mrs Amie and Mrs Vicky Adams-Gorton. Wishing you both all the happiness, peace and love that you so deserve ❤️
