Our Mission

Our philosophy is as simple as the recipes that have been handed down through generations. We always use the finest flours, salt and the best ingredients available because we believ

e that excellent bread really does rely upon the finest ingredients and time-honoured methods of production. All of our breads are baked to be eaten fresh and everything that we make is hand crafted, hand decorated and baked on site. Six days a week our team of bakers work through the night so that our fleet of vans can leave the bakery in Chesham long before the birds have started tweeting. We reliably deliver to hotels, schools, deli’s, cafes and pubs all over Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We make delicious sandwiches to order and offer a hot take away lunch option every day, from French onion soup to fiery chili con carne. We aim to always provide our customers with proper, honest bread and the very best cakes and treats. We are very proud to be a community bakery and aim to serve our community with the same authentic produce we’ve made to the highest standards for the last 175 years. Our Philosophy

It is always our aim to provide our valued customers with properly made, honest bread and the very best cakes and sweet treats. We work really hard as a family to meet the specific requirements of our long standing, highly valued customers and strive to continue our good relationship with all of our customers, both trade and individual. We like to champion local suppliers and in our shop we sell a range of locally sourced and produced items such as honey, jams, pickles and preserves. We also sell local free range eggs. We aim to increase these local offerings where possible so if you’re a local supplier with excellent produce to sell, contact us! We are very proud to be a community bakery and aim to continue to serve our local community with the same authentic produce we’ve made to the highest standards for the last 175 years.
