Rustic wildflower meadow anniversary cake with hand-piped buttercream flowers, flavoured with vanilla and filled with homemade strawberry jam. We even hand-picked the strawberries from Primrose Vale Farm Shop 🍓

Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza Day 2 and I just managed to nip out of the Food Hall to see some of the vehicles. Today I have samples of Ultimate Chocolate Brownies so you can try before you buy!

Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza Day 1 and Sweet Rosalie is in the Food Hall next to the fairground. This event is HUGE, so many amazing vehicles I can’t get my head around the size of this show. Come and try our Belgian Chocolate artisan brownies and take home some more for your tea!

Wow, today is Sweet Rosalie's fifth birthday! After becoming very ill in the Spring 2021 as a result of LED lighting in my office and my computer screen, I thought I had spent weeks feeling worried about the future. It turns out that it hadn't taken long to come up with a new idea - to do something that I love instead. I've always baked for my work colleagues and it seemed to be the thing they remember most, so why couldn't I do it for a living?

Running Sweet Rosalie I can work in my kitchen lit by traditional incandescent light bulbs, and sell cake outside in natural daylight. I had not expected that running the bakery would permanently change me for the better, I love the creativity, the logistics, the constant problem-solving and above all I love meeting all of the new people and hearing their own stories.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, bought cake from us and who has come back for more. I never thought this would be the direction of my life, but I wouldn't change it for the world ❤️

Busy weekend ahead, first with the Witney Fine Food Market, followed by the Big Lunch in Cirencester Abbey Grounds on Sunday 28th June. It's looking cooler for Saturday and Sunday, bring a picnic rug and load up on Sweet Rosalie brownies!
