Hi everyone,

I’m so sorry to say that The Cake Shed won’t be open this weekend.

The last 48 hours have been incredibly difficult. Our dog has become very seriously unwell and was diagnosed with IVDD, meaning she needed emergency surgery to remove part of a damaged disc. It’s all been a huge shock and honestly one of the hardest and most upsetting experiences.

Once she’s home, she’s going to need a lot of care and attention, and right now I just don’t have the physical or emotional capacity to think about menus, baking, or running the shed the way I’d want to — let alone in this very hot weather.

I feel awful for letting people down, especially as I wasn’t open last weekend either, and I never like cancelling. But right now my focus has to be on helping my girl recover and getting through the next week with her home.

Any orders that are already booked in will still be absolutely fine and will be honoured as planned.

Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and understanding — it really does mean more than you know ❤️

Apologies for being a little quiet — I’ve been busy away on a school residential for the last 3 days.

🚨Just a quick reminder that The Cake Shed will be closed this weekend(23rd 24th May) as I haven’t been home to do any baking.

Just a little notice that The Cake Shed will not be open next weekend, as I’ll be away on a residential school trip from Wednesday to Friday and won’t have time to do my usual baking.
