I had such a fun time creating this cake in a 3D style of an album cover by System of a Down for Joe’s birthday! The hand was made using Rice Krispy Treats that were then shaped and covered in ganache and sugarpaste. What do you think?!

Oh my goodness! How are you all dealing with the heat? I’d love to be sitting in front of a fan with an ice cream 🍦 keeping cool, but even in this heat, there are cakes to be baked and decorated 🎂 🫠. So spare a thought for us bakers who have to turn the oven on for a couple of hours when it’s already 30+ degrees! 🥵☀️😂

For now though I’m taking a break and cooling down with an ice cold 🍺 and watching the match 🇪🇬 🇦🇷

My friend Maria asked me to make her sister a lovely coffee and walnut cake for her 70th birthday. It had to include a bottle of Chardonnay (her favourite tipple) and some orange trumpeted daffodils. So this is my interpretation of the request and Etch was over the moon with it! I’m so pleased! 🥰
