Dear lovely customers,
I chose this picture because many of you still don’t really know who Mrs Sourdough is — so here I am.
This photo was taken right at the very beginning, in my own kitchen, where this whole journey started. Looking at it reminds me where I came from, how much has happened since then, and what I am capable of even when things feel hard.
From that little kitchen to where we are now, it has been an incredible journey — and now we are getting ready for another very big step.
Mrs Sourdough will be open as normal until Friday 21st March, and then we will temporarily close for refurbishment. We are planning to reopen on Monday 21st April.
This is a huge and very exciting project for us. It is about making the bakery better, creating more possibilities for the future, and helping us grow. At the same time, we are also working on another exciting project in the background, and we will keep updating you as everything comes together.
We know a few weeks without your favourite sourdough might feel like a long time, so please try to pre-order your bread for next week if you can. All of our sourdough freezes beautifully, so stock up, fill the freezer, and make sure you don’t run out while we’re closed.
I also want to take this moment to say a heartfelt thank you. I could never have done this alone. I am incredibly grateful to all my staff, everyone who has helped me over the years, our loyal customers, and our wonderful wholesale customers too. Every bit of support has meant more than you know.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. We are so excited for this next chapter and cannot wait to welcome you back and show you what we have been working on.
