🤍 Every cake tells a story, and what a story it’s been! 🎂
What started out as ‘Lockdown Bakes’ back in 2020 soon grew into Cakes & Bakes… and somehow, here we are, 6 years later! 🙌🥹
What began as a little side hustle has turned into so much more than we ever imagined. It’s given us the chance to grow, meet some truly amazing people and be part of so many special moments in your lives. ❤️
Although Misha has been the one behind the oven, Hannah has been busy behind the scenes taking your bookings, working her magic on social media and, of course, cleaning up the chaos afterwards! 😂🧁
Over the years, we’ve baked and delivered cakes for birthdays, weddings, wakes, get-well wishes, thank-yous and so many other occasions. One of the most special parts has been knocking on someone’s door with a cake sent by a loved one, knowing we were about to make their day a little brighter. 🎁❤️
We’ve watched customers become friends, seen your little ones grow up, celebrated so many milestones with you and, sadly, said goodbye to some familiar faces along the way. Every single one of those moments has meant something to us.
And whilst Cakes & Bakes has been growing, so has our own little family. We’ve got married and welcomed two beautiful children into the world, who now take up most of our spare time (and rightly so! 🥹❤️).
It’s certainly not always been glamorous! We’ve seen nearly every hour on the clock… late-night baking until 3am, emergency trips to Asda at 11pm because we’ve run out of butter, alarms set for 5am to bake fresh scones for afternoon teas, and deliveries in everything from ridiculous heat to snow and ice! 🥶☀️😂
There have been tired eyes, messy kitchens, stressful moments, lots of laughs and an awful lot of buttercream! But above all, there have been memories, friendships and a whole lot of love poured into every bake. 🧁🤍
However, as a family, we’ve made the decision that 2026 will be our final year of Cakes & Bakes, and we will officially be closing our little business on 20th December 2026.
We’re so incredibly grateful to everyone who has placed an order, recommended us to a friend, shared a post, left us a review, or supported us in any way. Every order, every kind message and every bit of encouragement has meant more than you’ll ever know. 🥹❤️
So, whilst it’s bittersweet to be saying goodbye, we’re choosing to look back on these six years with full hearts and so much pride.
Thank you for letting us be a small part of your biggest moments, your celebrations, your surprises and even your difficult days. It’s been an absolute privilege to bake for you, and we’ll never forget the support you’ve shown us. 🤍
