We’re sharing this today for a fellow small business owner here at The Courtyard, who has experienced an unimaginable loss.

A fundraiser has been set up to help support Shannon and her family following the loss of her son, Jax. If you’re able to contribute, any amount would be incredibly appreciated, and if donating isn’t possible, sharing the fundraiser can help too.

✨ This week’s menu just might be my favourite one ever ✨

We’re somewhere between the end of summer, with the last of the seasonal berries, and the beginning of autumn with this year’s apple harvest and we are fully leaning in! 🍎🫐

Things we’re especially excited to share with you this week:

💙 Apple-butter bombolini doughnuts
💙 Cheese, sun-dried tomato & olive babka
💙 Spiced chai cruffin

As well as our usual treacle-brushed Guinness wheaten, the return of last week’s spiced apple loaf cake, a huge gluten-free range & plenty more!

You can pre-order while supplies last, or pop by The Courtyard anytime from 8am, where you’ll find us surrounded by the goods ☺️

HomesNI met the lovely Erin, owner of Maison, based in The Courtyard, Carrickfergus.

And we’ve got some exciting news to share…

What started as a pop-up selling beautiful homemade plant-based treats has been so well supported by the Carrickfergus community and visitors from further afield that Erin is now getting ready to open her very own bakery in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, if you want to get your hands on some of these amazing treats, you can still find Maison at their pop-up in The Courtyard on Saturday mornings.

Our advice? Get there early — before they sell out!

✨ Our Blueberry & Hazelnut Granola has returned this week after so many of you told us it’s your favourite! 🫐

Made in small batches with organic oats, olive oil, brown sugar, a touch of spice, dried blueberries & roasted hazelnuts - it’s no wonder it’s so easy to eat straight from the bag with a spoon 😍🙌

I have a feeling this one might just become a staple on the shelves of our new home very soon! 💙

Did you get the chance to try one of our ham & cheese kolaches this weekend?? 👀

Kolaches are a Czech pastry that somehow found their way down to Texas, where they’ve become a breakfast staple, and one of our absolute favourites!

This week, we’re bringing them back, but taking things up a notch: CHEESEBURGER KOLACHES 🍔✨

Think soft, slightly sweet homemade kolache dough wrapped around a savoury cheeseburger filling. The dough takes two days to make, but like all good things, it’s well worth the wait!
