Not the sort of thing you're supposed to admit in September but here we are.

Every year around now I get properly excited about autumn cakes. The deep colours, the moodier flavours, my house smells like gingerbread for 2 months straight and the fact that the buttercream stays where I put it. This is my Roman Empire.

What's your favourite season? Please tell me I'm not the only autumn lover 🙏

Before you book with me, here are a few things you should know 🔽

🤍 You don't need to know exactly what you want before you check your date. That's what our design consultation is for.

🌸 The tasting is the fun bit, not the stressful bit. Book people who make it feel that way.

🤍 The cake that photographs best isn't always the one you'll love most. Pick for the taste, pick for a design that suits you as a couple, not the one best suited to the grid.

🌸 You're paying for more than just ingredients. You're paying for time, skill and years of practice.

🤍 Your cake maker probably won't be your cheapest supplier. If they are, you may want to ask why.

I wish someone had told me all of this whilst I was planning my big day, so here I am telling you 😘
