Now that the dust has settled we've finally got some energy back to post something about our final weekend. Wow, you guys TURNED UP! Can't quite believe the level of love that was thrown at us ❤️ You lot are the best!

It was obviously crazy busy with queues out of the yard all day long on Saturday. The wait time was extreme, so enormous thanks for your patience and dedication to the Leek!

There have been many reasons for us closing the shack window but it's with excitement rather than sadness that we look to the future. We're extremely proud of our success in Pontcanna and everything we've achieved in our tiny shed. We've been so lucky to employ some truely amazing people and have (we really mean this) the best customers ever!

The space we have in the King's Road Yard has been the perfect place to build our little business and we've had a great four years alongside some superb indies. However we've reached a stage where we're outgrowing our little shack and it's time to move on. Our friends in hospitality know how hard it is to balance work with family life when you're working weekends and evenings and that is another huge reason behind the closure. We can't wait to spend more time with the kids!

The level of support we've received from you all since announcing our closure had been so humbling. It's been a manic month and we can't thank you enough for sending us off with a bang 💥

So thankyou thankyou thankyou to everyone who has come down and eaten with us over the years. This isn't the last you'll hear of the Lazy Leek!

The final day of Lazy Leek Pontcanna!

We're open from 12pm and we're not taking any pre-orders today. First come first served until we run out of food.

We've made hundreds of burgers and sides for today, but options will certainly start to run out towards the evening. Get down early to avoid disappointment!

The Finding Nori is back!

Succulent tofish burger flavoured in a white wine and dill marinade with crispy nori and a batter coating. Topped with triple cooked chips; tartare sauce; smashed pea and mint and lightly pickled red onions.

It's one of our most popular creations for a reason.!

Only 3 more weekends of Lazy Leek Pontcanna! We've got a special send off planned for our final day on the 8th October too 😊💪🌿

**CLOSED TODAY**

Wow.

Ok so we've been a bit blown away by the amount of people coming down since we announced our closure. This weekend we broke the all time Friday sales record and then the all time Saturday record straight after! It's the busiest we've ever been. You guys rock!

Unfortunately this means that we've completely run out of food so we're going to have to close today 😞 Huge apologies to everyone planning on visiting us this afternoon. We'll be back next week with loads more food and we'll be prepared for the craziness!

I want to give a massive shout out to our long standing member of staff Lauren who built burgers at speeds never before seen by humanity. And another huge shout out the Brodie who only joined us recently and bossed the front of house position like a seasoned pro. 💪🍔💪

We have some sad news to share with you today. After four unforgettable years, we have taken the incredibly difficult decision to permanently close the Lazy Leek Shack in the King's Road Yard.

We want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing customers, staff, suppliers, friends and family who have made this project possible. It's truely been a pleasure to get to know and cook for the wonderful people of Cardiff, South Wales and beyond. We couldn't have done this without all of your support and hard work!

Our final day of trading will be Saturday the 8th October so you still have a month to come down and get your hands on some bad ass burgers! We'll be mixing up the menu all month to bring back some of the Lazy Leek hall of famers!

But fear not people, don't despair! This is not the end for the Lazy Leek! You will be able to catch our trailer at festivals and events in the near future. We'll also be available for private functions and weddings if you're on the look out for a top notch caterer!

If you have a lazy leek voucher then make sure to get down this month and exchange it for some top plant based grub. If that's not going to be possible then please get in touch and we'll sort you out.

This is then end of an era for our little Lazy Leek team, but we're excited for what the future holds. Hope to catch up with all of you lovely people over the next four weeks!
