🍪🎨 GINGERBREAD MAN DECORATING COMPETITION! 🎨🍪

Fancy seeing your very own gingerbread man design brought to life at Church Street Bakery? 👀

From tomorrow, you can pop into the bakery and pick up one of our gingerbread man design sheets and let your creativity run wild!

For our October competition, you can choose a spooky Halloween theme 🎃👻🕷️ or simply use your imagination and come up with whatever fabulous gingerbread creation you fancy!

🗓️ Closing date: 30th September

There will be 4 winners in total, and each winning design will be made into an actual gingerbread man and sold in the bakery for a whole week during October! 🍪

And of course, every winner gets to come in and sample their very own gingerbread man for FREE — purely for quality control purposes, obviously. Someone has to make sure the product is up to standard! 😂

👧🧑👵 Adults and children alike can enter — there will be absolutely NO age discrimination when it comes to gingerbread creativity!

So grab a design sheet, get decorating and show us what you’ve got! We can’t wait to see your creations. ❤️🍪

Good luck! 🎨✨

A little reintroduction for anyone new around here 👋

I’m Sarah, the face behind Church Street Bakery 🤎 I’ve been here in Llantwit Major for nearly four years now, tucked away opposite The White Hart.

We’ve got warm pasties & sausage rolls, loads of veggie and vegan options, salad boxes, and plenty of cakes, brownies and treats baked right here in the bakery.

I also make celebration cakes for birthdays, anniversaries and all those special occasions 🎂

I stock some lovely local goodies too — butter and milk from Ty Tanglwyst Dairy, local eggs as well as jams, chutneys & honey from Helen and Kirk Hawksworth 🐝

And the exciting bit… alexgoochbaker bread is coming back from this Saturday! 🍞 pop in through the week to get your fresh loaf!

We’ll also be bringing our Church Street Bakery hampers back for Christmas, which I’m already looking forward to putting together 🎄

So if you’re local and haven’t popped in for a while, come and see us! We’d love to see a few more familiar (and new!) faces through the door ❤️

All re-stocked today in Llantwit Major at Bardic Books, lots of great albums and a massive selection of £6 records (3 for £15), if you’ve not been before, well worth a visit and I can highly recommend the pasties etc from next door at Church Street Bakery

We’re very happy to welcome Cowslip & Co to the bakery 🤍

Made by hand in St Bride’s Major, in small batches with lots of care and attention to detail. We’re always so pleased to discover lovely local makers, and it’s a real pleasure to have their beautiful products on our shelves.

A little bit of St Bride’s Major, now at Church Street Bakery. 🌿
