🥖 What the supermarkets don’t tell you about the bread you buy…
Most supermarket bread is made to one recipe that has to suit thousands of customers. Every loaf is expected to look, taste and behave exactly the same.
At The Garden Bakery, it’s completely different.
Every loaf is mixed, shaped and baked by hand, and because I bake in small batches, I can adapt many of my recipes to suit you.
🌾 Want freshly milled flour? I can do that.
🌾 Prefer a lighter loaf? I can adjust the flour blend.
🌾 Love spelt, rye, einkorn, kamut or hard white wheat? I bake with them all.
🌾 Looking for a softer crust for easier sandwiches or toast? I can often make that happen too.
🌾 Need vegan options or have a favourite flavour combination? Just ask!
You’re not choosing from a factory production line—you’re buying from a real person who loves experimenting with grains, flavours and traditional sourdough baking.
Every loaf starts with simple ingredients: flour, water, salt and sourdough starter, along with plenty of time and care. Nothing is rushed, because good bread simply can’t be.
One of my favourite parts of running The Garden Bakery is creating loaves that are personal to my customers. If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could get a sourdough made just the way I like it,” there’s a good chance I can make it for you.
📍 Collections are available from:
• The Garden Bakery
• Leaf Lounge Café, Herne Bay
• Bun in the Oven Cakery, St Nicholas-at-Wade
🚗 If you happen to live on my route to Leaf Lounge on a Monday and you’re unable to get out, I’ll always do my very best to deliver your bread to you where I can.
Thank you for supporting a small local bakery. Every order helps me continue doing what I love—creating real sourdough that’s made for people, not production lines. ❤️
From grain… to flour… to dough… to your table. 🥖🌾
