What a weekend treat. We’ve always got our mind set on specials and the counter is looking gorgeous. But there is one in particular we know you are going to go crazy for 😉

Yes, it’s a new cake bun!
✨ STICKY TOFFEE CAKE BUN ✨

Sticky toffee pudding cake with a date & salted caramel cream and topped with brown sugar fudge all wrapped up in our delicious croissant pastry

We are so happy to officially introduce our brand new Fruit Huffkin 🤎

Which is already making a name for itself with a Taste of Kent award! ⭐️

This is a soft fruit bun inspired by the traditional Kentish huffkin. The dough is made with local b**r, studded with raisins, currants, sultanas, apple and candied orange.

And of course a special mention to our friends who are really making this a local affair. With Old Kent Red Door flour from Nonington Farms infused with Kentish First Drop IPA by Shepherd Neame
We are also using Crown Gold apples from Perry Court Farm and our candied orange made using orange peel from Macknade

We are truly chuffed to win GOLD in such a great category and we can’t wait for you to try (and love 😉) this new bakery addition

We won ⭐️ the Taste of Kent awards have been announced!

We were very proud to be finalists in two categories for the 2026 awards.
Savoury bakery product of the year & Sweet bakery product of the year 🤎
Our heritage cracker has taken BRONZE and a brand new item, the fruit huffkin has bagged GOLD

With the Taste of Kent Awards ceremony in full swing we will definitely be celebrating tonight. But please pop in and see us over the coming weeks to share the joy ✨

Friends of GILDA introduces The Pig ✨
We are incredibly proud of our wholesale partnerships, and want to shine a spotlight on some of our wonderful friends.

The PIG at Bridge Place is a beautiful 17th-century red-brick hideaway with secret staircases and cosy corners. This hotel, bar and restaurant is packed full with heaps of Kentish charm. The Pig Hotel

The kitchen offers homegrown produce and local goodies that make up the simple, fresh dishes served up in an open-plan restaurant that’s packed with character.

You can find GILDA throughout the menu and tuck in to our pastries on the farm style grazing table breakfast spread 🤎
