So... it's been extra quiet on the wedding front for 2025. Last year was super busy and 2026 is booking up already!

With extensive Funeral work to do and a house move, perhaps it worked out for the best.

Weddings add a different dimension to my work and are a refreshing change for me to work on, not to mention a more joyful occasion to be involved in.

I’m looking forward to my friends wedding in just a few weeks, where I'll be doing a reading and supporting her as a friend.

September 2026 is booking up fast, however I still have some availability throughout the wedding season and beyond.

It’s hard to put into words just how much being present on this day meant to me, let alone being the one to marry this beautiful couple, a couple I love with all my heart.

This has to be the highlight of my year. Not only did I get to officiate the wedding ceremony, I also got to enjoy the whole four day adventure with my very best friends and all their amazing family members and friends.

The Chateau Du Val was the most idyllic setting with beautiful surroundings. The whole day was utterly perfect, what made it extra special is that so many aspects of the day were arranged and supplied by friends and family. From the makeup artist, hairdresser, favour maker, balloon arch creator, cake maker, photographer and videographer were all friends and family. Everyone played their part to make it special and the happy couple absolutely pulled off getting 80 plus guests across the pond and achieve their dream day, surrounded by their people. So many personal touches, so much thought and so much love.

The weather wasn’t 100% on our side the whole time but as the bride and her father stepped out of the Chateau it stopped and was soon replaced by the sun and later a rainbow.

I’ll never get over the honour of watching a bride walk towards me, but this bride was extra special. Thank you for the privilege and thank you for the love we share.

I’m so excited to begin preparations in the next few weeks for this summers ceremonies, one of which is my first destination wedding!

The beauty of a celebrant lead ceremony is that it can be held absolutely anywhere! You are not confined to a licensed building, therefore… not only do you have the freedom to hold your ceremony at a place of your personal choice… you also do not have to pay the enormous costs that come with the restrictions of a licensed venue.

A while back, I organised a surprise vowel renewal for my parents 40th wedding anniversary… in my own garden! Exactly 40 years to the day and hour, they renewed their promises. I spent hours writing them a bespoke ceremony, reminiscing over their 40 plus years of life together, remembering their beautiful wedding day back in 1981… and everyone who shared it with them, also everyone who has come into their lives since. It really was a beautiful day and a memory that we’ll always be grateful for and cherish.

Throwback to my first ever wedding 3 years ago today!

This couple had their original wedding plans cancelled several times due to Covid. Theirs was a restricted wedding, no more than 30 attendees and had to be held outdoors... nothing like their original plan, however it couldn’t have turned out more beautifully.

They found a lovely piece of land that belonged to a country pub, alongside a cornfield, the land opposite the pub was ours for the day and although we were ready with gazebos, dressed for the wedding buffet, with seating for all… we were truly blessed with the weather, in fact it was absolutely boiling!

The ceremony was intimate, completely personal, fun, emotional and the happy couple said they wouldn’t have changed a thing.

It just goes to show, with a little imagination and a lot of love… the perfect wedding is possible at anytime, anywhere x
