Whoops. On lots of fronts 😂

Firstly, I have been practising some BEAUTIFUL new flavours over the last week and have somehow forgotten to photograph most of them.
Apparently I was far too focused on getting to the taste-testing part.

So here is one snap I did remember to take.
Welcoming Raspberry Noir’s big sister… Raspberry Gâteau? Raspberry Noir Cake? Name very much pending.

This was my home practice run, inspired by a good friend of mine for her birthday after she told me these were some of her favourite flavours.
Chocolate sponge, raspberry buttercream, dark chocolate drip and freeze-dried raspberries.
And no, it did not last very long at all.

Second whoops… I have barely posted.
I have been here, I promise. But the summer holidays have absolutely spat me out a little bit 😂
Three children at home, orders going out, baking, planning, organising, trying to keep everyone alive and vaguely entertained… it has been a lot. Wonderful, but a lot.

So when a quieter window appeared, I did accidentally drop off the socials a bit. Sorry!
So, by way of apology — and because we have nearly made it through the final stretch of summer holidays, the heatwave, and all of it — I’m offering 10% off all orders placed before 1st September.

How wicked is this?!

Bramble & Butter has been featured on Rankbolt!
A very lovely finish to a week full of cakes, to have the link sent through from Sam and see Bramble & Butter written about so kindly.
It feels surreal seeing the business talked about properly like this — the bakes, the qualifications, the 5 food hygiene rating, and everything I’m working so hard to build from my kitchen in Calshot.

Behind the scenes it’s still very much me, doing the baking, planning, prep, packaging and customer messages myself… while trying not to actually melt in this heatwave.
But this is really lovely, and I’m very grateful.

Minecraft cake for an 11th birthday today 💚🖤

Lemon sponge, stacked with lemon buttercream and lemon curd, finished with green buttercream, black drip, sugarpaste Creeper details and a themed topper.

I loved how bold the colours are on this one!

I won’t pretend I fully know what’s happening in Minecraft, but I do know this was a very fun cake to make 😂

Books, Buttercream and Biscoff 📚

The brief for this one was SO pretty — pastel pink, lilac and pastel turquoise, with gold details, macarons and soft piping.

Inside was Ginger sponge, Lotus Biscoff buttercream and ginger buttercream to finish.
The flavours on this one though… offt.

Spiced, comforting, and far too easy to go back for another slice.

I’ve been working on getting my buttercream finish smoother recently too, and this one felt like a proper step forward. Still refining, because I think I always will be, but I was really happy with how it came together.

Victoria sandwich cake with vanilla buttercream and jam for a West Ham fan’s 40th today ⚒️

I loved making this cake, especially with the challenge of getting it stacked, filled and finished at this height.

A proper tall celebration cake, full West Ham theme, and a really fun one to send out.

Vanilla sponge, vanilla buttercream and real strawberries 🍓

All packaged up as this absolute CUTIE.
I was so excited to get this one delivered, especially as it was partly a surprise for my close friend.

Giraffe cake, flower crown, little lashes, and a face that makes it feel a touch mean to plunge a knife into her 😂

She definitely needs a name though.
Any suggestions? xx

Here she is 🦄

I have wanted to make a unicorn cake for years, so I was ridiculously excited to get started on this one.

Vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream, decorated with a buttercream mane, sugarpaste ears and a gold painted horn.
This was an absolute delight to make.
Anybody else want a unicorn cake? Please? 😂😂

Oooooh these colours!

If I had absolute free rein, I think everything I owned would be one of these colours… especially those lilacs.
Mixing up shades and getting them into piping bags is incredibly satisfying.
Then the clean-down and reset before I start piping?

Therapeutic levels of calm.
This beautiful cake I’ve been working on is so pretty and I am very excited to show it to you.
For these beautiful shades I used Sugarflair Colours, and the larger piping bags are the 18" biodegradable bags from The Cake Decorating Company

Today is another baking-packed day with orders going out on Saturday!

Monday I’ll post what’s on for the rest of the week too.
