How is everyone's Thursday going? Only one day to go, and the weekend is here, oh and Cake Corner!!!
I've just set up a wedding can, and am currently waiting for my little one to finished her 2nd half day at school!
Then, it's home to bake! Lots to do for cake corner, as well as a few bespoke bakes too.

Salted caramel cake anyone!?

4 layers of a soft moreish sponge, made with brown butter and brown sugar, to give a deep, velvet yet nutty taste.
Layered with caramel mascarpone frosting, my homemade caramel and topped with pieces of Cornish, clotted cream fudge.

Pre orders can be collected on Friday evening from 4.30pm or Saturday morning 9am to 10am.

You'll find cake corner at 187 Oxford road Calne.

I'll also have fresh eggs and homemade lemoncurd.

Cash, card and transfer all welcome.

Excited to be bringing Cake Corner back this friday!
This week I've had so many messages about 'when are you open again'... well, here's the news!

I'll also be offering people the opportunity to pre order and pre pay for items. A menu will be released on tuesday and you'll have until Thursday 6pm to pre order and pay. Collection can then be for friday evening or saturday morning.

The raspberries going in to today's bakes are so big and juicy!
Lots of raspberry bakes on the go for this week including, raspberry and lemon, raspberry and pistachio and raspberry and whitechocolate!

Which flavour combo would you pick?

My bakes use a mix of- fresh raspberries, freeze dried raspberry pieces and raspberry powder- freeze drided raspberries blitzed into a powder. Giving a delicious raspberry taste, slightly pink hue to the sponge and all round people pleasing results 🥰

Baking this a day later, as you may have seen, The Pewsham public house, live music, weddings & coffee shop was closed today for a planned power outage. That means, their Mamma Bakes cake was baked a day later, for optimal freshness.

This weeks gluten friendly option is a blackberry and apple cake, using my own picked blackberries and apples. Yum.

I hope you can pop down from tomorrow (wednesday) for a slice!
