The last cake of 2025. Spent a few days on my hands and feet cleaning the kitchen after dusting the wafer papers. It really does get everywhere despite trying my best to do it careful. Tried several different methods too!
2026 onwards, I’m going to create more pretty cakes. Not going to allow being made to feel guilty about it. Yeayyy!!

been a turbulent year. Finding a quiet moment and the head space to post my work has not been easy. I bake and make it pretty but had no time and motivation to snap nice photos that look professional, before they get devoured. And they do disappear super fast.

This one had to be photographed at a hospital corridor. I could not let this one go without any evidence. The flowers did not have to be delicate so it was pretty easy. This was for a retirement party at work, for a Spanish lady who is full of life, hence the vibrant colours.

“He loves money and body building, so any of those is fine”. Why choose one? Birthday boy gets both!

A girl wanted a blue birthday cake. Blue outside, chocolate inside, of course. And lots of cake coz she ‘never gets to eat enough’ of her own birthday cake (like since when 🙄). Wants it not too plain coz it’s a special day, but not to OTT coz that’ll be embarrassing. “You can put some flowers if you want”.

This was a wedding cake that I made in June. Haven’t posted here for a while, sorry! Flew the flowers from the UK. 98% survived without any breaks. Worked with buttercream cake in 39c in a hot, steamy kitchen 😬

Both survived, cake and decorator. Just did not have any time or opportunity to take a proper photo of the finished cake. It just had to go back into the chiller ASAP!

Another work holiday adventure! A recent wedding cake that I decorated in Germany. The theme was mid-summer with spring flowers. The flowers got through security and survived the flight. The temperature was 36c. The cake was buttercream. The kitchen was hot and steamy. I didn’t have my tools. I didn’t remember breathing through it but we survived, both cake and I!! Didn’t get to take any proper photo of it but luckily got some short clips that I could string together for memories.

So glad that at least my youngest still wants cake for her birthday.
