Won't lie, bakeries love autumn! All the hearty stuff and Buxton weather offers multiple opportunities to enjoy it.

Here for the season: our new spiced turkey and mushroom pasties, natas, damson and berry drizzle, fresh ciabatta with fillings and a millionaires shortbread worthy of the next stock crash. Also getting a brand new lunchtime menu together so stay tuned :)

Hiya folks! Been a few weeks, albeit when the mercury hits 36c in the shade it can lead to either loss of concentration or conversation so we had to pick the important one :)

We have also been very busy making new things. When a heatwave hits, least you can do is dust off the picnic basket and we have you covered this weekend!

Home grown courgette and blue cheese tarts, three new bubble cheesecake flavours, pastries, pasties, pizza, that nice new Italian bread on again and everything lovely we put in it xx

At altitude, feeling slightly relieved (smug) it's 5 degrees cooler than other parts of the country in a heatwave, you realise almost every piece of equipment in a commercial kitchen is designed to level it all up again. To fridge or not to fridge.

We've been baking this week, and not in the obvious sense. So we went and did the obvious thing and made some bubble cheesecakes! And forest fruits crumble, and lots of other goodies.

May can often feel like summer on fast forward but come rain or shine we got you covered.

Introducing our new seasonal maritozzi buns! Legend has it prospective wedding rings were often hidden inside for the lucky recipient. We found them a bit crunchy so went with fresh strawberries, champagne rhubarb and diplomat cream. Already a favourite.

Spanish sausage rolls in as well along with galettes, spring pizza and as there was a coffee and walnut cake on order we made a few extra for the shop :)

Last week we huddled round the ovens to keep warm. Now scrabbling for excuses to keep switched off and frantically researching tower fans.

A bank holiday straight from central casting, and here's this week's lineup: fresh homegrown rhubarb and custard tarts, tray pizza special, Anzac cookies (the OG protein bar with actual taste, 100+ years and counting), our Spanish sausage roll and something special involving strawberries and cream....

Teased it last week although stockpiles are a little higher today! Presentado...our new Spanish sausage roll for the picnic basket with sweet paprika, herbs and slow cooked caramelised onions. Nom.

Also have new and improved chocolate babkas back in today alongside custard tarts, feta buns and a selection of new cakes to keep this lovely sunshine going ;) Open till 2:30

We did promise you treats!

Gone a bit mad this week. When you bake lots of pastry and dough the overall colour scheme can be a bit....similar.

So to tempt the weather out we've made our very own Sunshine cake with lemon and saffron :) Also strawberry and pistachio cake, tomato galettes are back alongside new pasties, quiche and a caramelised onion sausage roll. Picnic weather or no, we've got you covered! Open till 2:30pm
