🥚🐔 WHY DON’T WE WASH OUR FARM EGGS? 🐔🥚

It’s a question we get asked a lot!

Unlike many shop-bought eggs, our farm-fresh eggs still have their natural protective coating, known as the “bloom” or “cuticle”. This invisible layer helps seal the shell and protects the egg from bacteria and moisture loss.

✨ This means our eggs can stay fresher for longer!

By washing eggs, this natural protection is removed, which is why commercially produced eggs are handled differently.

💡 Top Tip:
Only wash your eggs just before you use them. This helps keep that natural protective layer intact for as long as possible.

Our hens are busy every day providing fresh eggs, and we’re proud to offer them just as nature intended. ❤️
