We have some sad news to share with you all. Unfortunately, since taking the café over, almost 2 years ago, Mum’s health has been deteriorating with multiple different chronic conditions worsening which has resulted in us having to cut back more and more on our opening hours.
We have therefore decided to make the extremely difficult decision to pass the baton onto a local experienced family catering/baking business who will be able to give the community the best level of local service and a warm and welcoming place to come meet and eat!

We wanted to let you all know that we have not come to this decision lightly and we don’t know if we will be able to open much, or if at all after this Friday (28th) is over. We will keep you guys posted if we can be open for any days/dates in the interim period.

The good news is there will be a further announcement very soon in relation to who is taking over the reigns here at the Café and the exciting changes and improvements they will be bringing to your area. Keep your eyes peeled for this! 👀

In the meantime, we would love to see anyone who’s able to pop in this Friday and, if we are able to open the doors for any additional days between now and when the new owners will be open. We are hoping that the handover process doesn’t take very long and that they can begin serving the local community without too much delay 😊

From Clara and Linda (Mum) we wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day and we wanted to let you all know how massively grateful we have been for all the support and warm welcomes sharing this space has given us. Our lives will not be the same without you all and we do intend to be around from time to time, to keep in touch with our regulars who have also become good friends over our time here!

We hope the pictures below show how much this place has meant to us and that we will miss both it and the community we’ve grown to love more than we can put into words 🥹

For those interested, Clara will be looking to continue making custom cakes in the near future and any bookings she has already taken will be honoured as planned.

We are back this week, open today and Friday for our usual tasty offerings!

We hope to see as many of your lovely faces as possible this week and there will be an announcement to follow very soon which will explain about the opening hours difficulties we have been having.

We’re open!

After the sudden rain yesterday of course a rewrite of the sign was required so enjoy the refresh of what we have to offer as well as some FAQ’s!

We’re here till 2:30pm so make sure to stop by and grab some cake and coffee, a late breakfast or even some delicious lunch like our tasty toasties or jacket potatoes 😋
