Guitars are multiplying in our house but at least this one is edible! A life-size Telecaster, pretty accurate down to the last screw, it took an age to make but I was really pleased with how it turned out. Chocolate cake, filled with chocolate buttercream, covered with 2kg of chocolate ganache and iced with fondant icing. I used an airbrush to recreate the colours, starting with orange in the centre, red towards the edges and black around the outside. Using embroidery thread for the strings, I was able to reduce each string by a thread so they became finer, resembling the thickness of the strings on his guitar. It was a surprise for his 18th birthday, needless to say it went down well!
