So good to get creative again!!
No brief, no client to worry about pleasing, just making ideas in my head come to life.
And, I loved every moment of it.

So, this has been a VERY hard decision to make but it is the right one. As of today, Just Because CaKes are CLOSED.
It has been an adventure. I met some wonderful people, customers and industry colleagues. I learned so, so much. About cakes, about running a business but most of all about myself.
I lived and breathed cakes for 10 years, well, 9 years and 11 months but it is definitely time for some new adventures.
Thank you to my clients and friends and every single person who trusted me with their special day sweet creations, offered words of praise and support.
Thank you each and every one of you, you made Just Because CaKes possible.
This is good bye for now but who knows...

I can just imagine the parties after all this time and separation!!! I am keeping everything crossed the current timeline stays. 🤞🤞🙏

Recently there has been much talk about lockdown kitchens and cake makers popping up like mushrooms. Times are hard we all need to earn a living and whilst I’m sure there are many excellent cake makers out there it is VERY important to check that your supplier is properly registered with the local authority.
Every registered food business should have at least Level 2 Food Safety Hygiene certification, business insurance and should have their premises inspected by an EHO.
I understand this is tricky at the moment as no inspections are being carried out due to COVID but...

For your safety please check your supplier before you place that order. Nobody wants that special treat to turn into something unpleasant.
