Some of you may already know, and for others this will be incredibly hard news to hear, that our beautiful Hayley — our beloved friend and Kingswood’s best sandwich maker — has sadly passed away.

Hayley was so much more than a colleague. She was family. She was the heart and soul of our workplace and brought laughter, warmth, and light to every single day. No matter what kind of day you were having, Hayley would always find a way to have you in fits of laughter.

She leaves behind a huge hole that can never be filled, and she will be loved and missed more than words can say.

Hayley’s funeral will be held on Wednesday 4th at 10:15am at Westerleigh Crematorium for anyone who would like to come and say goodbye.

We will remember Hayley for her kindness, her humour, and the joy she brought into all of our lives ❤️

A Message to Our Valued Customers

It is with very heavy hearts that we must sadly announce the closure of Baker’s Corner, with today, 24/12/25, being our final day of trading.

After many years of serving our wonderful community, the time has come for us to step back. Due to our age and the increasing demands of running the business at the level it truly deserves, we are no longer able to continue as we would want to. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but one made with a lot of thought and emotion.

Baker’s Corner has been a family bakery for many generations, lovingly handed down through our family. It has been far more than a business to us — it has been our life, our passion, and our pride.

We want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff, past and present. To our bakers, our confectionery team, our shop staff, and everyone in between — your dedication, hard work, and care have meant the world to us. We truly could not have done this without you.

To our loyal customers who have supported us over the years, many of whom have travelled far and wide for our produce — thank you. Your support, kind words, and continued custom have meant more than we can ever express. You will be greatly missed, and we will forever be grateful for the memories and relationships built over the years.

While this chapter is coming to an end, we are proud to share that Gemma will be continuing her own venture, focusing on the catering and confectionery side of the business. We hope you will continue to support her as she begins this exciting new journey. Gemma Veale Catering
