🎂 THROWBACK TIME😂

A little throwback to my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding cake! 💕🎂

I think this cake pretty much sums up both of their personalities perfectly… 🤣

One side: pretty, elegant, delicate little pink roses 🌹✨
The other side: CHOCOLATE. EVERYWHERE and of course a wheel! (Made from cake)😂🍫

And yes… that chocolate wheel was my brother’s idea. Because apparently a normal wedding cake just wasn’t him. 🤣

I absolutely loved making this one — although I have to admit, it was going beautifully until I had to ruin it with chocolate. 😂

Looking back, I still think it was one of those cakes where you can see the couple’s personalities in every detail… and honestly, that’s what makes creating cakes so much fun! ❤️

Fast forward to now… 👀

I managed to catch my breath… briefly 😮‍💨😂

And now… we GO AGAIN! 💪🏼

This week’s to-do list is looking something like:

Basically, the oven is going on, the apron is back on and I’m pretending I have my life together. 🤣

✨ BUFFET LOVE! ✨

One BIG buffet… one bespoke menu… and A LOT of tasty treats! 😍

I absolutely loved putting this one together after what has been a craaaaazy busy week — although I’m not going to lie, this buffet definitely took the last little bit of omph I had left! 😂💪

We had a gorgeous bespoke spread including:

🥪 A selection of delicious sandwiches & savouries
🧁 Cupcakes
🍰 Cheesecake
🍎 Apple crumble
🍫 Bite-size brownies
🥐 And plenty more delicious little bites!

There’s something so satisfying about seeing it all come together — especially when you know there’s going to be a room full of people happily tucking in! ❤️

🎄 And now for the dreaded C word… CHRISTMAS! 🎄

I know, I know… it feels far too early! But if you’re thinking about catering for a Christmas party, work do, family gathering, celebration or event, please don’t leave it until the last minute.

📅 Dates can fill up FAST, especially as we get closer to the festive season, and I’d hate for you to miss out!

🎂💙 From Baby Shower to First Birthday! 💙🎂

It’s always such an honour when a customer comes back to me for another special celebration, but this one felt extra special. 🥰

I was lucky enough to make a baby shower cake for this lovely mum-to-be and Nanny-to-be, and now, a whole year later, they came back and asked me to make their gorgeous little boy’s 1st birthday cake! 🎈🧸💙

I feel so honoured to have been a little part of these beautiful family milestones — from celebrating his arrival to now celebrating his very first birthday. 🥹💙

Happy 1st Birthday to this gorgeous little boy! I hope you had the most wonderful day filled with lots of love, cuddles and cake! 🎂✨

🧁 250 CUPCAKES, A LAST-MINUTE ORDER & A PRINTER WITH ATTITUDE… 😮‍💨😂

A little behind-the-scenes story from a recent order!

I was contacted last minute by another amazing caterer in Hull, Sophie at Grazey in love who needed help with a corporate order of 250 cupcakes

The order included a mix of Original, Vegan & Gluten-Free cupcakes, all topped with personalised edible toppers.

Easy enough, right? 👀

Well… that’s where the fun started. 😂

Because naturally, just when you need your printer to behave itself, mine decided it had officially had enough of this baking business and clocked out. 🖨️💀

With no time to mess around and a replacement printer definitely not arriving in time, I had a very brief moment of “well… this is a disaster” 😂

Thankfully, the lovely guys at Have Your Cake & Eat It - Bristol came to my rescue and kindly printed all the edible toppers for me! 🙌🏼❤️

Absolute lifesavers! Without them, I’d have been stood there with 250 cupcakes and absolutely nothing to put on top of them. 😂

Crisis averted, toppers sorted, cupcakes baked, packed and delivered — and somehow we made it happen! 🧁✨

A massive thank you to Sophie for trusting me with such a big last-minute order, and an even bigger thank you to Have Your Cake and Eat It for saving my bacon (or should that be saving my cupcakes? 😂).

This is why I love being part of a community where small businesses can help each other out. ❤️
