Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service.
Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to uphold high standards of freshness and flavour.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficient in culinary techniques related to baking and cooking.
Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A creative mindset with an enthusiasm for experimenting with flavours and presentations.
