It’s with a very heavy heart that today at 2pm we close our doors for the last time and say goodbye to our Filton shop.
For over 30 years, Church View has been our home. We’ve shared early mornings, fresh bakes, laughter, and countless memories with so many of you. Closing our doors was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make, but with the planned demolition of the flats, local trade has dropped so much that we simply couldn’t keep going.
We want to say a huge, heartfelt thank-you to the wonderful people who have been part of our journey.
To our brilliant bakers, Les and Dennis, and to our amazing shop managers, Tracey and Angela — Kevin and every single member of staff who has worked with us over the years — thank you for helping make Filton such a special place.
And most importantly, thank you to our customers.
You welcomed us into your daily lives — from grabbing a breakfast roll on your way to work, to ordering birthday cakes for your families, to stopping by just for a chat. We’ll never forget the familiar faces and friendships formed over the counter. We are truly grateful for every single visit, big or small, over all these years.
We aren’t saying goodbye completely.
Our Severn Beach shop is still open, and we’d love nothing more than to continue serving you there. It’s a lovely spot — and while you’re in the area, take a peaceful walk along the river and make a day of it.
