08/10/2025
After a lot of thought and talks to myself I’ve decided to hang up my apron and take a break from wedding cakes.
I’m undecided whether this is a pause or a goodbye but for now my diary is closed from 1st December.
Since turning on my oven in November 2015 I’ve had a blast. I’ve laughed, cried and spent a lot of time looking at my spatula wondering ‘Do they ever turn into magic wands?’ 🪄 the answer is no .. they do not!
But 2025 is very different to 2015. Times have changed in my world as well as the cake world and if I’m completely honest I’m tired.
Owning your own business isn’t for the faint hearted. I’ve missed out on family events, lost touch with friends and refuse to miss out on anything else that’s to come.
Ive poured my heart and soul into Rosie Shaw and am so proud of myself for what I have created and achieved.
I’ve created cakes for more special occasions than I thought was possible and can’t express how grateful I am to have been apart of all your special events. As well as all the friendships and support you’ve all given me over the years I can truly say I’ve had a blast over these 10years and thank you for everything I’ve learnt.
It’s a bittersweet goodbye but I’ll always cherish the memories this chapter of my life has given me 💞
