We did a bit of digging and got some more information about our shop.

The picture dates back to 1892, when our shop was a butchers shop. To the left of the shop was a slaughterhouse, serving the local residents and neighbouring villages of Dyrham and Hinton.

In the 1960's it changed for several years to a hardware store.It then reverted back to a Butchers shop,until we took it over as Anstees Bakery in 1995.
In 2021 Anstees Bakery rebranded to the name of Mr A's Bakehouse
With the rebranding we specialised in Sandwiches,Savories (baked on the premises daily),our own cooked ham which we cook on the premises, Sweet treats and Barista coffee.

We sold out of our popular Scotch Eggs early last week.

So Banjo Baps Kris has been hard at work producing the Chorizo, Black Pudding and Traditional this week, to meet demands.

Also available are the Cheese, and Cheese and Chilli for the Veggie option.

All ready from 8am this morning.

Morning 👋

Like everyone else we’re struggling in this heatwave. So we’ll be pre making some rolls and sandwiches just so they stay super cool and fresh. 🥪

Alternatively You could always phone us and order your Breakfast/ Lunch and skip the queues. Our number is 07717 621563

The Cheese Scotch Egg is now available in our shop at Pucklechurch.

This was a suggestion from, Tracy, one of our shop team who had made these at home,and thought they would be good for the vegetarians that visit us.

Banjo Baps Kris who makes our Scotch Eggs,thought we should also offer a veggie option with a kick,so we also have a Chilli Cheese Scotch egg.

These two compliments our Traditional,Black pudding,and Chorizo Eggs all coated with Panko breadcrumbs .

A few months ago Kris, from Banjo Baps, joined our team.
She was famous in the East Bristol area during Covid for her home made Scotch Eggs.
We have together, developed a Chorizo,a Black Pudding and Traditional scotch egg.
They have been tested by family, friends and staff.🤤
Made with local sausage meat and coated with panko breadcrumbs and served with pea shoots, rocket and an accompanying dressing of your choice.
Served hot or cold.

We are still in the process of developing the Cheese scotch egg for vegetarians.
So Watch this space. 👀
