Hello everyone.
As most of you know, I am an eco-lover, and I've always strived to do the best I can to be as eco-friendly in my cake business as possible π§.
Even though it is getting easier to find sustainable products, you'll be amazed just how much stuff out there still does harm to our beautiful planet π±.
I just wanted to let you know that all my packaging is made from recycled cardboard. It's also card that you can recycle yourself after you have eaten my products (this includes cake boards, cake boxes and cupcake boxes). The bags I use for my bespoke chocolates are biodegradable, so once recycled, they will break down and won't be outstaying their welcome in landfill for years to come! π¦
I am also happy to share that I am now a fully palm oil-free bakery! It may sound easy to avoid palm oil, but it is literally hidden (sometimes sneakily) in everything! π
So, if you order something from me, you will be getting much of the following:
*Sussex butter that has been hand-churned on a farm made from the milk of cows who roam freely π
*Organic Sussex eggs π₯
*Organic Sussex cream and milkπΆ
*Organic flours πͺ
*Organic and Fair Trade sugars π¬
*Organic and Fair Trade cocoa and chocolate π«
*Organic vegan spreads and 'butters' π§
*Sustainable free-from milksπΆ
*Organic fruit π
*Homemade jams, curds and fillings π₯«
*Everything palm-oil free π΄
*Recyclable packaging π
*Baking cakes in one go to save energy π₯
*Using any cake off-cuts to make cake pops/ crumbs to decorate cakes π°
*A lot of love β€
We can't do everything, but I'm certainly going to try π²
Lots of love, BNB ππ€π
