The last one ππ€β¨οΈ
This beauty was my final cake before officially closing. Navy, white & gold, what an elegant, contemporary cake to finish on! I love the different details of each tier, how they all vary yet compliment one another. I'm particularly fond of the bottom tier with its navy marbling. And let me tell you, marble effect buttercream is a tricky one to achieve! But I do like a challenge π
Flavours - all made without gluten:
Top tier - coconut & lime sponge, vanilla buttercream & passion fruit curd
Middle tier - chocolate & raspberry sponge, chocolate buttercream, raspberry jam
Bottom tier - vanilla & raspberry sponge, white chocolate buttercream, raspberry jam
As I walked away and took a last glance, I have to admit, I got a little emotional and had a tear in my eye to think that that's it.
I've come so far in the last 4 years, refining my decorating skills, honing my style (or maybe styles), and of course, devising delicious recipes. But it is SO tough to run a cake business. I still have things to say about this, so brace yourselves for a long post! But for now, I'll leave you with this pretty 3 tier π
