🚨UPDATE 🚨
Good afternoon, sorry if this is a long one!
I’m just updating you all to say I’m having a career change!
I know, it’s been a bit of a shock to myself as I wasn’t sure I’d take this path just yet. However it has been something I’ve been thinking about for some time.
I absolutely love my cake business and everything it has become. I’ve had an amazing successful 7 years in business. I’ve reached all the goals I could achieve & now I’m at the peak! My dream was never to own a shop or premises, but it was to work from home making my clients their dream wedding cakes so I could still look after our small children whilst we didn’t have childcare.
My little girl was newborn when I started this adventure and I worked so hard to get it to where it is now.
However with running a business comes a lot of work, hardly any down time or holidays. I feel it’s my time to go into a job which was on my radar for many years & to give myself more time with my children whilst they are at a good age. Summer holidays & half terms have become hard, working as I usually would but having my two at home. This is why I’m so behind on social media posts & delayed with messages.
Before the panic, I’d like to say Wedding cakes will still be going ahead! I’m not ready to give up my business just yet. However September I will not be taking anymore orders until I settle into my new job. After this point I will be seeing if I can fit in any occasional cakes. (Those that are booked will still go ahead)
Lastly, I would like to say this has been such a hard decision for me as I absolutely love making cakes & I do feel sad about it however, I’m ready to not be working on my own anymore and get a good family balance back in the home.
Thank you all so so much for your custom, I’ve been so lucky to have been able to work from home all this time and even till today have such a great business!
Right best get back into the kitchen because I’m in the thick of the wedding cake season!
