Unfortunately, I have noticed that more than half of cake orders are collected up to an hour late after having agreed upon a collection time.
Due to this happening so regularly, I am forced to make a change in my collection policy.
I am a stay at home mum and I can be very flexible to accommodate the customer, but I do also have other things to do and a baby to take care of so I can’t be waiting in all day for collections.
Therefore, I have made the decision to add a late fee. I understand that sometimes things happen that are out of our control e.g. traffic so I don’t want to be harsh.
I ask that you let me know ASAP if you think you will be late and give me a rough idea of when you’ll be here so I can expect you.
If you need to change your collection time for other reasons, I require a minimum of 1hour notice and there will be no charge for this.
•Notice of less than 1 hour to reschedule will result in a £5 charge.
•If you are over 30minutes late, you will be charged £10 late fee.
•If you are over 1hour late, you will be charged £15 late fee.
I am so sorry to have to do this, it’s not something I ever thought I’d have to impose but I’m spending an awful lot of time waiting around when I could be working on other orders or looking after my baby.
