Hello Instagram/Facebook friends. It's been a while ☺️ I hope you're all well and have had a lovely summer!?

I've been very quiet over here the last few months / year 😅 I took a very big step back from cakes and just worked to fulfill orders that I'd taken on before I decided to have a break.

It's been a tough couple of years for complete transparency. Behind all of your pretty cakes, my partner and I have been wanting to start a family. I won't go into great detail but suffice to say, it hasn't been an easy road.

But! .. I've come on here today to share the news that I have been baking a little bubba (instead of cakes 😜) and she is due in January 2024 💕 We couldn't be happier and our hearts are completely bursting with love.

So, on that note. I will be closed for the foreseeable. Not only to concentrate on our little sweetheart, but the fact that I have carpal tunnel in both hands 😫 so wouldn't physically be able to do what I have been doing and the tiredness is next level (which I'm sure many of you can relate)

Anyway, I just wanted to say I miss you all. I know some of you already know my journey to get here and how much it means to me but for now, it's not goodbye..just see you later 😘

This time last week 💞

Candyland and Ice Cream cake for Margot on her 3rd birthday.

I've loved making her cakes every year, and this one was just as fun 😊 pastel buttercream frills, handmade fondant sweeties and ice cream cones made from rice krispies and covered in sugarpaste.

The design was loosely inspired by candyland cake and as always I put my own twist on it and had to add fondant of course! 😜

Boho beauty for a special lady 🌾🪶🥀

This isn't my usual style as I tend to step away from buttercream finished cakes, but I love them every now and then!

Fresh florals, pampas grass, and eucalyptus with a hint of texture and gold ✨️ Handwriting straight onto cakes also gives me serious anxiety 😅 but I think I managed ok this time.

Inside was my luscious lemon cake, lemon buttercream and my homemade curd 🍋

Inspo for this cake was from the lovely 🤎

Scarlett turns 2 (or at least she did back in March 😅)

This design is so, so popular, and I love it because you can add so many different elements to it, change the colours, or add whichever characters you like.
Mickey and Minnie were the choice for this one 💕

I'll never get bored of making ruffled turrets!

Elsa for Elsie ❄️

I've made all of Elsies birthday cakes, and it's just so so special to be part of her birthday each year ☺️ they've all been Peppa Pig since she was 1 😅 so this was a nice change.

I loved every part of making this one. Handmade sugar shards, rice krispy trees covered with sugarpaste and hand snipped for the spiky effect, royal icing dripping icicles, and a watercolour painted cake with sparkly silver details ✨️

Hello friends. It's been a while since I've shared some of my cake creations. I have had a long, very much needed extended break from them, and it's been just what I needed to be honest.

I'm technically still not back to working as of yet. Lots of personal life stuff happening, so the cakes have taken a back seat. I must admit, though, I've missed chatting to you all and sharing my work with you 🥰

So, over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some of the cakes I made at the end of last year/this year that were orders I had promised before my break.
This being one of them for Evie on her 16th birthday last year. Evies family were taking her to Paris for her 16th, so the cake had to have a nod to that.

Handpainted eiffel tower, sophistication with the black and beige, and all the prettiness from the handmade sugar flowers, a big sugar bow, and whimsical ruscus leaves. Loved making this one and how it turned out 🖤

Spooky Season has arrived 🎃 👻 🕷

Made some last minute cupcakes for a family scary movie night last night. It was fun to be creative again, not so fun cleaning up all the mess I made 😅
