We’re very excited to welcome Australian songstress .rumble to Penpont this October, joined by local legends , for an autumn evening of live music, food and sauna.

Hailing from a walnut farm in the southern valleys of Australia, Isabel has been quietly carving out a name on stages across Australia, the UK and Europe. With a “voice like honey” (Triple J), her spacious contemporary folk draws deeply on nature, quiet observation and the inner life — intimate, warm and beautifully suited to a night at Penpont.

She joins us as part of her 2026 UK & European tour, bringing songs from her latest album Hold Everything Lightly.

Flynn Daggett will be joining her on home turf. Their sound dwells somewhere between art-folk and poetic minimalism: intricate guitar lines interlace with haunting vocals, carrying subtle nods to John Martyn and Joni Mitchell.

Before the music, will be cooking up a delicious autumnal feast. Don't miss out!

🍂 Autumn events at Penpont 🍂

A few dates for the diary as we head into autumn…

🍔 19 September — The return of the Penpont Burger, with music and sauna running alongside.

🎶 3 October — The delectable duo will be playing and hosting a wonderful evening of song, welcoming Canada-based folk artist .rumble to the Penpont stage. We’re also excited to have cooking up a delicious autumnal feast to accompany a special night of live music.

🍕 14 November — Our notorious Pub Quiz returns with Quizmaster .luffman , and local legends firing up the ovens.

On 5-6 August 2026, Penpont will host a community archaeology project to investigate an enigmatic site in a field next to Penpont known as Castell Einion Sais.

Led by archaeologist Jennifer Muller, community volunteers will use ‘non-dig’ geophysics techniques to get a clearer picture of what was on the site.

Was it a castle, or some sort of moated site?

Can we find any traces of buildings?

And who was Einion Sais?

Come along to watch the work and find out more!

A viewing and information area will be open to the public from 10am-4.30pm on both days. Just drop in - no need to book!

The site is about 5 miles west of Brecon, just off the A40. Turn onto the main (east) drive of Penpont House and you will soon see signs for parking. ///range.admire.intensely

The project is organised by The Brecknock Society and supported by Bannau Brycheiniog National Park’s Sustainable Development Fund and is part of the CBA Festival of Archaeology.

🌿 SUMMER FEAST 🌿

Join us this June 6th for an afternoon and evening of great food, live music, and summer celebrations in the courtyard.

We’ll be flipping our very own 100% grass-fed Longhorn burgers, served alongside delicious sides made with organic produce from our walled garden — with vegan burgers available too.

We’re also excited to welcome Shepherd’s Ice Cream, scooping up the flavours of summer for everyone to enjoy 🍦

🎶 Live music comes from Bob Gallie — a Welsh musician whose iconic voice and guitar playing will be gracing the courtyard stage.
