Heartiest congratulations to Snigdha & Soham
When I was first shown a Pintetest image, I had little knowledge, that too theoritical about hand painted cakes.
Not to shy away from learning a new decorating technique, what followed were hours of watching online videos and more hours, practicing painting with Cocoa Butter.
Very different to water colour, painting with cocoa butter mixed with food colour, means maintaining the right temperature and consistency throughout to bring out pastel to vibrant shades.
We didn’t discuss any particular pattern so kind of went with the flow with the final design. Also complimented the design with handmade sugar roses.

And of course, this wouldn’t have been possible on the day without my husband, who did all the heavy lifting, loading and unloading in the rain .. all in his fine suit!

It’s been a week of learning and applying new skills.
Palette Knife art..an elegant way of decorating a cake with buttercream or chocolate ganache florals.
The secret lies in getting the right consistency of the medium and the twist of the wrist ☺️

This was for an intimate wedding celebration and clients review made my day!

Creating sugar flowers have been on my “To Do” list for an eternity maybe and finally decided to make few roses for a recent order!
I had a bit of free reign with the design so it was perfect opportunity to incorporate them.

For first time try, think they came out pretty nicely! I can see why they can be addictive😜
