Words can’t really explain how proud we are of

We have known Lala and Jamie for a while now. Being fans of the patisserie, they always come by when they visit Braemar.
Along with their older brother Ewan, they set off on an incredible journey across the Pacific Ocean, raising money for clean water projects in Madagascar.

Yesterday, they reached a new milestone. 100 days at sea, rowing non stop and unsupported.

For those of you who have visited the patisserie since April, you will know that we launched a charity cake, named after their boat, to help their fundraising.
So far, we have sold 356 Rose Emily, raising over £1k towards their goal.
Thank you to all our customers who chose RE over other treats we have on the counter!

Now more than ever, they need us to help them move closer to the £1m target.
If you have signed up to their ship log, you would have read this morning that a generous donator has pledge to double every donations made in the next 10 days.
So please, please donate!

Knowing that we are behind them is what keeps them going…

🌸 Charity Cake 🌸

This is Rose Emily. Our new addition to last year’s counter. And it’s a special one!

This cake is our contribution to the crazy challenge have set for themselves: rowing the Pacific, unsupported, from Lima to Sydney, to raise money for clean water projects in Madagascar.

With Rose Emily, we aim to raise £2k for the by donating 50% of our revenue made from selling what we now affectionally call ‘the boat’.

For those who follow them, you will know that RE is the name of their boat. We were incredibly touched by the story behind this choice so we tried to imagine what RE would be like in the shape of a cake.

She’s layered. Fresh with a kick and just the right amount of sweetness. She’s balanced in taste, elegant in her looks. She would turn heads, no doubts!
Berries for her Scottish roots, tropical fruit for her sense of adventure and a flower for a feminine touch.

3 flavours for 3 brothers.
Raspberry, coconut and a subtle hint of rose.
We will let you decide who’s which…

Many of you have noticed our menus on our tables announcing our ‘5th and last season’.
Don’t be fooled by our laughing on this picture, it is true!

We get asked ‘why’ a lot and though we thought about inventing some kind of crazy answer, we decided to tell the truth. We just want to get out of the kitchen for a while!

So despite the success of our wee shop that we are super proud of, we have decided to go on a high!

Last season to get your lemon tarts and hazelnut choux y’all 😱

Appreciation post ☕️

We get a lot of compliments on our coffee and we couldn’t be happier as we are so proud and lucky to be working with

When we were in the process of choosing our roasting partner, the quality and taste of their coffee was by far our fav. Beyond that, the team was the friendliest bunch to deal with. We knew then was the one!
