WE’RE HIRING TWO BAKERS!

House of Bread is looking for two bakers to join our growing team. We’re a family-run Polish bakery focused on quality ingredients, traditional baking and making everything properly from scratch.

PASTRY BAKER
Our pastry baker will work across yeasted doughs, cakes, creams, pastries and savoury bakes.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has bakery or production kitchen experience
- Works efficiently without compromising on quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Can work across multiple tasks and different stages of production (doughs, creams, pastries, finishing)
- Strong attention to detail and high hygiene standards
- Keen to learn and grow within the role
- Reliable, proactive and hands-on

🍞 BREAD BAKER
Our bread baker will work with our sourdough and other breads, focusing on baking off and prep, with scope to expand into other parts of the process over time.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has bakery or production kitchen experience (sourdough = bonus)
- Works efficiently without compromising on quality
- Comfortable with the physical side of the role; lifting flour sacks, heavy dough, long periods on your feet
- Confident working with ovens (training provided)
- Keen to learn and grow across the bread process
- Strong attention to detail and high hygiene standards
- Reliable, proactive and hands-on

HOW TO APPLY
Experience is preferred, but attitude matters just as much to us. We’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to learn, improve and grow with the business long-term.

🕒 35–40 hours per week, spread across Monday to Saturday
💷 Pay dependent on experience
🇵🇱Bonus if you speak Polish
📌 Must have the right to work in the UK, visa sponsorship aren’t provided

“I’ve driven past your bakery a million times and never noticed…” is something we hear all the time!

Well, now you have 👋 hello and welcome to our family-run West Yorkshire bakery!

We’re big on sourdough (like, 11+ varieties big), plus loads of sweet and savoury bakes, basically something for whatever mood you’re in.

A lot of what we bake comes straight from our Polish heritage, with family recipes passed down through generations and still baked fresh every day we open!

We’re a family of proper foodies, so if you’re into good food as much as we are, you’ll feel right at home here 😄
