Congratulations to Jemma and Chris, may your day be full of love and happiness.

I had the pleasure of working with Jemma as her bridal seamstress, and spent the last few weeks tailoring and customising her beautiful wedding dress.
Tailoring a wedding dress for comfort and support and customising to bring uniqueness is one of my favourite parts of the job as a bridal alterations specialist.

Wedding day wishes to Kayleigh and Chris!
Kayleigh had her alterations carried out elsewhere, but she reached out to me for her garment preparation. I arrived at her home yesterday with all my equipment and steamed her wedding dress, veil and flower girl dress. I also removed all garment tags, fluffed her net petticoat skirt and hung everything carefully so it will be crease free and ready to wear this morning.

Have you considered what you’re going to do with your wedding dress after the wedding?

It’s something lots of brides don’t think about until after the big day, but your dress has probably been through quite a lot by then.

Grass, makeup, food, drink and all the things that come with wearing a wedding dress for a full day can leave marks that aren’t always immediately obvious.

I work with to offer professional wedding dress cleaning and preservation, so your dress can be properly cared for long after your wedding day.

I’d recommend doing it sooner rather than later. The longer marks are left, the more difficult they can become to deal with and your wedding dress is a pretty special garment, so why not look after it properly once the celebrations are over?

Whether you want to preserve your dress as a keepsake, keep it for future generations or simply make sure it’s properly cared for, I’m happy to talk you through the options.

Your wedding dress should fit you, not the other way around.

Bea came to me needing her wedding dress downsized significantly, so getting the fit right was the main priority.
When a dress needs substantial alterations, there’s more to consider than simply taking it in. I need to make sure the proportions, structure, fastenings and finishing details all still work once the dress has been altered....And, of course, it needs to work for the bride wearing it.

Bea needed to be able to walk, move, sit, dance and enjoy her wedding day without worrying about whether her dress was going to behave itself.

Looking at her wedding photographs, I think you can really see that she was able to do exactly that.
Bea, you looked absolutely beautiful and it was a pleasure to work on your dress.
