Polystyrene sucks!
I don’t think anyone can convince me otherwise.
It’s single use tat destined for landfill🙅♀️
I see cakes covered in chocolate coated polystyrene balls and it breaks my heart a little.
Like why cover something completely inedible in something both expensive and tasty 🤯
I am not 100% innocent. I have had to use them on a few rare occasions (mainly last min cakes) and I hated every minute of it.
So these are my go to alternative.
Silicone sphere moulds in various sizes which are perfect for melted chocolate.
They can even be filled with ganache, jelly or mousse 👌🏻
These were just from Amazon, but I image all cake decorating shops will sell them too!
For smaller spheres, you could use maltesers, sprinkles and drages or lint balls!
All I’m sure would be preferred by the cake client
