What a week and another delivery in extremely hot weather. Chocolate & buttercream have not been my friend during the heatwave, so very late night baking sessions were called for.

This cupcake tower had a mix of lemon and double chocolate cupcakes topped with a chocolate orange cutting cake with hand piped lavender flowers.

huge shout out to all bakers, chefs and cooks this week who endured working in such difficult conditions, I was certainly glad to turn my ovens off and sit with a cold Pimms to end the week.

The most beautiful wedding set up today at home in the family garden, with a cake that was perfect in continuing the garden flower feel.

Working with buttercream and pressed flowers in the heat this week hasn’t been for the faint hearted but I’m so pleased with this cake, it’s up there with one of my all time favourite’s.

Something very different for today’s wedding and I’m so pleased with how it looks, the guests are in for a real treat. A sweet treat grazing tower comprising of chocolate orange cupcakes, double chocolate brownies, salted caramel brownies, white chocolate & raspberry cookies, chocolate chip cookies, then finished with a zesty lemon lambeth style cutting cake.
