What a week and another delivery in extremely hot weather. Chocolate & buttercream have not been my friend during the heatwave, so very late night baking sessions were called for.

This cupcake tower had a mix of lemon and double chocolate cupcakes topped with a chocolate orange cutting cake with hand piped lavender flowers.

huge shout out to all bakers, chefs and cooks this week who endured working in such difficult conditions, I was certainly glad to turn my ovens off and sit with a cold Pimms to end the week.

I’m a bit late posting last weekends cake for a wedding at Kingston Country Courtyard. What started as a very foggy day and a difficult drive on country lanes with no visibility ended up a beautiful day and the sun shone for the couple.
