𝟚𝟛 𝔹𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕤𝕖
It's with mixed emotions that we share some news that you may have noticed — 23 Bakehouse as a shop has now closed the doors.
This wasn't a decision we took lightly and culminated from a combination of our lease coming to an end sooner than anticipated, rising business rates, and a focus on streamlining the business overall. Did we want to commit to another five years in that building, with costs rising and the government screwing “small” businesses from every angle? The answer was no.
What started as something we were incredibly proud of, something has always been about more than just the sweet treats — it was about the people, the community, and the experience we built together. The celebrations we helped make cakes for, the moments in life you chose us to celebrate with! We have done birthday cakes, engagement cakes, anniversary dessert tables, Christmas boxes and more. And for that, we are truly grateful.
To every single customer who walked through the door, supported us, and made it what it was for our short time — thank you. You made it worth every early morning & every panic baking restock when you sold us out!
Our focus now turns fully to our two awesome coffee shops, where we'll continue to do what we love most — serving great coffee and building a space where people genuinely want to be.
This isn't the end. It's just a refocus. Bakes will still continue in the coffee shops as the perfect partner to your caffeine fix! They’re not going from those.
