There'll be a merry band of Wise Owls supporting Boston Spa Party in the Park tomorrow. We've got lots of lovely freshly baked cakes, a bit of nostalgia with School Sponge, both vanilla and chocolate plus lots more. We'd love to see you, Stables Lane, you can't miss us.

UPDATE- APPEAL CLOSED 🙌🏻

📢 Urgent appeal: freezer needed 📢

Due to the failure of our freezer at the Wise Owl Cafe Boston Spa, we are sadly having to throw away food – which is impacting our profits.

We are urgently looking for a donation of a narrow, 600mm undercounter freezer so we can continue storing food safely and avoid further waste.

If you or someone you know has a freezer they could donate, please get in touch with Jon via [email protected] We can collect and do the heavy lifting.

📣 CALL OUT FOR RAFFLE PRIZES TO FUND GIANT KERPLUNK 📣

We are calling out for raffle prizes to fund a giant Kerplunk game for Memory Cafe.

Giant Kerplunk is a highly engaging activity for people living with dementia. The oversized pieces make it easier for those with visual or motor impairments to grasp and manipulate, offering great cognitive stimulation, visual tracking, and manual dexterity practice.

From one gent sitting on his own almost a year ago, to a chat with the lovely Gavin and the WiSE Owl Men’s club was born. Meeting for breakfast and banter every Friday from 10am.

As I head towards my last days with the amazing Cafe team I know I am leaving these boys in good hands💙

Besides, if I ever want to see them again I know where they’ll be!
