A retirement cake with a difference for Melvyn’s final day at Sobell Rhodes after many years as Senior Partner.

This desk themed design included an edible office set-up complete with computer, paperwork, coffee cup, phone and a handwritten note saying “Goodbye tension, hello pension”.

I also added a personalised figure of Melvyn sitting back in his office chair ready to enjoy retirement.

One of those cakes packed with little details that made everyone smile.

The cake included handmade football details, an edible figure dressed in Arsenal colours, Joel’s dog alongside him, footballs, scarves and of course the Arsenal badge taking centre stage.

Garden themed cupcakes for Eric celebrating his 80th birthday.

Each cupcake was topped with handmade edible details inspired by life in the garden, including carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, aubergines, tools, plant pots and watering cans. The little personalised signs tied everything together and added an extra personal touch.

With tunnels, tracks, clouds and a bright red train coming through the centre, this cake was full of little details to bring the theme to life. The layered design gave it a real 3D feel, almost like a miniature railway scene.
