Cakes of the week

Anyone else feel that it’s still so warm outside? I can’t wait to get a bit of cooler and fresher air.

It was another great week in the cake kitchen.

1: vintage piped delicious 2 tier wedding cake delivered to Cairns Farm. The dreamiest venue

2: my great uncle Craig celebrated his 90th Birthday this week. What a great achievement which had to be marked with cake

3&4: jellycat adorned 50 number cake

5: Toy Story for Tommy

6: Beep Beep Ava is on the road. Happy 17th Birthday Ava

7: Lara had the most delicious chocolate cake with a bueno filling, chocolate ganache and crushed Oreo’s.

10: Adorable animals cake for little Freddie celebrating his first birthday

12: Scott turned Thir-tee and his cake reflects his love of golf & hibs

This week I caught my breath a bit and it was great. Some really pretty themes but also a bit more downtime.

Cupcakes and bento boxes of the week

Another week has flown by and the count down till we loose to Uni life Hannah is fully on!

I have started to learn how to use Cricut so all being well we should be good for card cake toppers and of course I will continue to get your amazing acrylic toppers from Studio Four. I just like to give my customers choice.

You will have noticed I have taken quite a step back from social media but don’t worry I am still here in the background working away as busy as ever.

A wee reminder that I am fully booked till mid September and booking capacity from then will be reducing so if ever the time to reserve you date it’s soon. I have had to turn quite a few away already 😢

Also let’s not even think about the C word 🎅. I am definitely not in that headspace yet!

What a week

We had 4 wedding cakes which I will share first and I am still recovering from

1: Taylor & Ryan got married at Dalhousie Castle and displayed their love of books in their wedding cake featuring the children’s book that Ryan wrote for Taylor. This is so romantic 🥰. Beautiful fresh flowers finished the cake off

2: Jessica and Cameron opted for a beautiful vintage cake for their celebration

3: Kirsty & Alan were married at Peebles Hydro and chose a beautiful pearl design and I love how they incorporated the baby blue in the flowers they provided

4: Michaela & Stevie were married at the Royal Musselburgh and chose a semi naked design with Lillies they provided

I wish all 4 couples the best of health and happiness and can’t wait to see the professional photos

To say it was busy is an understatement. I had 4 wedding cakes (these will be posted separately) and I was on my own as my daughter was celebrating achieving her exam results on holiday with her friends.

She will be off to Uni in September and I will be fully on my own from that point so the number of orders I can take will decrease. This is your call to get your orders in now and avoid disappointment

Cancer chose the wrong princess to mess with

I couldn’t have said it better myself and was delighted to gift her birthday bento box and create the cake for her well deserved party 🎈

Huge shout out to all Mia has done she is an absolute trouper and from the strongest family I know who have done an amazing job of supporting each other.

Thanks to Studio Four Shop who kindly donated the wording charms whiteout being asked to do so 💗
