Funeral Arrangements for My Mum, Lynda Makin

It is with great sadness that I share the funeral arrangements for my mum, Lynda Makin, who proudly owned Home Bakery/Cafe Latte for over 40 years. She was loved by so many and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

The funeral service will take place on:

Tuesday 14th July 2026 at 11:00am
St Mary’s Church
Chorley New Road, Horwich

Followed by the committal at:

Ridgemont Cemetery

Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to join us at:

The Bridge Hotel
Church Street, Horwich

Family flowers only, please.
Donations in memory of my mum can be made to Derian House Children’s Hospice.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Mum, Lynda Makin.

Lynda peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends.

Many of you will have known Lynda as the heart and soul of Home Bakery/Cafe Latte. Since taking over the bakery in 1984, she dedicated herself to serving our community, making lifelong friendships, and welcoming generations of customers through the doors with a smile.

We would like to thank everyone for the kindness, support, cards, flowers, and messages we have received. Your love and support have brought great comfort to our family during this difficult time.

Lynda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, staff, and the many customers whose lives she touched over the years.

Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts at this sad time.
