✨Guest lecturing again this week at Edgehill (gorgeous campus by the way!)

✨I love the teaching element to my self employed life, it’s one of the best parts of my Social Work expertise.

✨Today, the topic is -

“Direct Work With Children: Hands-on ideas as well as handling a disclosure”

✨ We’ll touch on loads of topics like shame, abuse, 3rd person analogies, psychological trauma, therapeutic play…

✨Heavy stuff, but also some fun to be had too with how I deliver it 🙌🏻

✨Self employed life has its struggles, but being able to diversify and provide an eclectic service is part of the enjoyment and huge benefits!

✨ As someone who has experienced her own fertility struggles, I wholeheartedly understand the longing and endless searching for that “one thing” that will bring your baby into your arms.

✨It’s how my reflexology journey started, sessions to support my fertility.

✨Did it work?

✨Well, is anything that simple with fertility? It’s a complicated weave of many contributing factors, so many you may never be aware of.

✨ But reflexology most certainly does support your fertility for different reasons;

🔸When the body experiences such deep relaxation, it can start to shift away from the stress or fight/flight/freeze state which is counterproductive for fertility.

🔸It may help amplify the more nurturing & reassuring hormones like serotonin, endorphins & oxytocin that are beneficial for your fertility.

🔸Hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline (that dominate when someone is stressed) can be reduced which also promotes a more harmonious body state to support fertility.

🔸It aims to support your whole body, so all the systems that work with your reproductive system are also enhanced.

✨Each reflexologist might describe the benefits differently or favour some over others. But ultimately we will all have a believe that, yes, it can support and beneficially complement your fertility but is not necessarily the “one thing”.

👣These are the feet of a woman who over a year ago, booked her coaching sessions.

✨And is now 2 stone lighter, feeling proud and thoroughly enjoying her new lifestyle.

✨I am lucky to have a great relationship with my reflexology clients, and this particular client knew me well & trusted me to be her coach.

✨The depleted confidence, the embarrassment, the doubt in your abilities, the fear of what is still to come…this is where I am at most days when brain fog is at its worse.

✨I have noticed though it fluctuates - peaking when I am stressed and flooded with cortisol.

✨I have noticed some improvement of late however, but I have made some lifestyle changes that I feel are helping.
