Terms & Conditions
We look forward to helping you create your dream cake. BOOKING FEE
Bookings are considered speculative until a booking fee is paid to secure the date and booking. An invoice will be sent once all the detail
s have been agreed and is valid for 5 days from receipt. Once the booking fee is received your order will be confirmed. Payment of the booking fee is taken as your acceptance of the cake price quoted and of the Terms and Conditions as stated
A booking fee of 50% is required and will act as confirmation of your order. The balance is due on collection for Celebration cakes and a week before on Wedding cakes. Full payment is required if an order is accepted at short notice. PAYMENTS
Late payment or no payment is subject to cancellation of your order. In the event that any payment is subsequently declined, the order will not be completed or released until alternative funding arrangements are made and payment is made in full. The customer will be responsible for the payment of any additional charges which have been incurred as a result of payment failure. We would of course contact you should this be necessary. CANCELLATIONS
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your order, please note that your booking fee is non refundable as other bookings may have been refused to allow us to make for you. However one transfer to another date may be considered if available. As your cake is bespoke certain components may be ordered in advance in order to complete the design. As a result the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled. More than 4 weeks prior to the supply date, you will be issued with a full refund, after deductions for any items that have already been purchased by us, to be used specifically for your order, have been made.
1 – 4 weeks prior to the supply date the full booking fee will be retained.
0-7 days prior to the supply date 100% of the total cost will be payable. Requests to change the date of supply will be considered up to 2 weeks prior to supply and the request will be granted if practical. The booking fee is non refundable unless there is an emergency that leaves us unable to create your bespoke cake. In this circumstance , as much notice as possible will be given and a full refund issued. DESIGNING YOUR CAKE
Your cake will be created as specified on your invoice, please be sure that all the details are accurate and as agreed before paying your booking fee. All cakes are bespoke, handmade creations and there may become slight variation from the design requested or picture supplied, not only out of respect for the work of other cake artists it to ensure that your creation is unique for you and your someone special. Should you wish to change the design of your cake you may do so until 2 weeks prior to the supply date, any changes will be charged accordingly. No changes can be made less than 2 weeks before the specified date of delivery/collection. It may not be possible to directly copy a copyrighted character e.g. Peter Rabbit, as cake designers can be, and have been liable to copyright infringement. Licensed characters can be purchased and placed on the cake to avoid an infringement of Copyright Law. COLLECTION/DELIVERY
Please be sure to schedule your pick up/delivery time accurately. If you feel that you are going to be later than planned, please contact us as soon a possible. If you or your representative chooses to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it has left our possession. When collecting please ensure that your vehicle has a clean flat space ideally the boot with a non slip mat or a foot well as seats are slanted and can adversely affect the cake during transit. If the cake is to be delivered and set up, we will endeavour to have the cake signed for by a staff member. Photos will be taken and emailed to you to show the final condition of the cake. ALLERGIES
Please be aware that while your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used. Clients are responsible for notifying The Little Bolton Cake Co of any dietary restrictions prior to placing an order. Cakes are made in an environment where Soy, egg, gluten, dairy, nuts and other allergens may be present. We take no responsibility for allergies or complications due to consuming our products . You agree to notify your guests of this risk. Details of any allergens within your cake will be provided with your order. NON EDIBLE ITEMS
Many cakes contain food safe non edible items which may include (but are not limited to) dowels, florist wire, ribbons, straws etc. You will be advised of the placement of such items, however it is your responsibility to ensure that your venue / caterer / guests are aware that these items should be removed prior to consumption. FRESH FLOWERS
The Little Bolton Cake Co will only use flowers from the non toxic lists. These will have been laid on / inserted into the cake with wrapped stems and posy picks / straws. All flowers should be handled with care and removed before serving. DISPUTES/REFUNDS
All sales are final. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your cake, The Little Bolton Cake Co. must be informed within 24 hours of pick up or delivery in order that any compensation may be assessed. The Little Bolton Cake Co will offer a discount on a future order or partial refund if at least ¾ of the product is available and returned to us and an issue found. Refunds will not be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. SOCIAL MEDIA
The Little Bolton Cake Co reserves the right to use photographs of cakes made by them for as advertising purposes, marketing and promotion of the business. This will include social media for example Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. We will however not publish pictures until after the date of your celebration so that we do not spoil your big reveal. REVIEWS

When you contact The Little Bolton Cake Co about ordering a cake, we have to collect a small amount of data, usually your name and contact details (phone and email address). Sometimes, if delivery is required we may need your home address. If you pay via online banking we do not hold your bank or card details of have access to them. We will never share your personal details with any other company.
