💜Our October Charity of the Month: PoTS UK 💜
This month, we’re supporting PoTS UK, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart because PoTS is something I have personally lived with for the past 6 years.
Throughout October, I’ll be using our platform to raise awareness of PoTS (Postural Tachycardia Syndrome) and dysautonomia, and hopefully help more people understand a condition that is often misunderstood and, because it can be invisible, incredibly difficult for others to see.
If you have PoTS yourself, I hope some of the content we share this month helps you feel a little more seen and understood.
And if you know someone with PoTS, perhaps it will help you understand a little more about what they may be experiencing behind the scenes. 💜
So, who are PoTS UK?
PoTS UK supports and educates patients, families, friends and healthcare professionals about PoTS by providing trusted, evidence-based information and resources.
They work to improve awareness and understanding of PoTS, advocate for better healthcare and research, connect people affected by the condition through support, and help reduce the isolation that can come with living with an invisible illness.
This charity is particularly special to me because I don’t just support their work, I’ve seen it first-hand.
Alongside living with PoTS myself, I volunteer with PoTS UK as a Peer Support Volunteer, helping to run regular peer support groups for people affected by the condition.
I’ve had the privilege of speaking with so many people through this role and seeing just how much work the charity and its volunteers put in behind the scenes to support the PoTS community.
I genuinely care so much about the work they do, the people they support and the incredible volunteers I get to work alongside.
So throughout October, we’ll be donating a portion of our profits to PoTS UK, while hopefully helping to spread a little more understanding along the way. 💜
